MyTasks Pro 2.3.1 help

This is a quick and not fully planned service-release!
Please see below what changed!

Please check your version as you may have to update in order to use the new features.

Migration

The migration between the light and pro version is fairly easy. Please follow these simple steps:

  1. Get some infrmation about the FTP server you will trust. This could be also your PC or Mac when you are linked to your local network. For the PC you may need some additional FTP-Server software, the Mac comes with such.
  2. You need the URL, user and password
  3. Start now MyTasks light
  4. Enter into settings / Backup
  5. Create a new backup
  6. Leave the edit mode and click on the backup you've created
  7. Save this Backup by FTO (you will need the details of your FTP-server here)
  8. Close MyTasks Light
  9. Open MyTasks Pro
  10. Enter into settings / Backup
  11. Change into the 'Edit'-Mode
  12. Click on the 2nd '+' to upload the backup to your FTP
  13. First of all you need to enter your FTP-Server details again (sorry). Than get the directory-listing
  14. Click on the backup you will dowload
  15. Confirm download
  16. Get back to the backup-dialog (click top left button)
  17. Load the backup you just downloaded
  18. Done! - Enjoy!

How to start

If you tap the 'MyTasks' icon on your iPhone you will see the startup screen with the latest selected sort criteria.

If this is the first time you start MyTasks, you will get the 'Target-date' view. The sort-criteria could be choosen by selecting any of the tabs on the bottom of the main-screen.
MyTasks always remembers the last choice. You will notice sometimes that the start-icon would come with a number (in a bag) to indicate the number of open tasks. This behaviour could be defined in the settings

Splash

This is the splash-screen shown while loading the application.

As the app loads quite fast you will not have too much time looking at this nice screen, so its shown here in this help...
